Hearing after 39 years of silence - BBC News

Imagine being born almost completely deaf and then discovering in your twenties that your vision is going away as well. Then imagine being told you could have an operation to fix your hearing, but if unsuccessful it could take away altogether the little sense of sound you had. That was Jo Milne's situation just a few years ago, thankfully it all went rather well - as you can see she's here today. You may have seen a video (http://ift.tt/1AvpzYn) of her online capturing the very first moments of her hearing properly for the first time.
